FAQs

How long does it usually take for you to build a custom home from start to finish?

Most custom homes take about 8 to 12 months from planning to moving in. The exact time depends on your design choices, the size of your home, and your property. We’ll keep you updated at every step so you always know where things stand.

Can you help me design my home, or do I need to have plans ready before I come to you?

Can you build on land that I already own, or do you help find land too?

How much say do I have in the design and materials used for my home?

You have as much input as you want throughout the whole process. We work closely with you on every detail, from layout to finishes. Your ideas help guide the design, choice of materials, and final look, so your home truly feels like yours.

What makes you different from other builders in the area?

We bring over 30 years of hands-on building experience and treat every home as unique. You’ll work directly with us from the very beginning, including planning and land evaluation, making sure your ideas shape your custom home. Our focus is on creativity, careful planning, and personal attention to every detail.

Do you take care of everything, like permits and inspections, during the building process?

Can you help with landscaping and finishing touches, or do you only build the house itself?

How do you figure out the best design for my property and the land it’s on?

We start by walking your property with you to get a feel for the land and its features. We consider sunlight, views, and how you want to use the space. This helps us create a design that fits your vision and makes the most of your land.

Can you work with my architect or designer, or do you only use your own team?

We’re happy to work with your architect or designer if you already have someone in mind. Our team can also bring in our own trusted partners if you prefer. Either way, we work closely together to make sure your project matches your vision and runs smoothly.

Can you build energy-efficient or environmentally friendly homes?

Yes, we can build energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes. You can choose features like better insulation, high-efficiency windows, eco-friendly materials, or energy-saving systems. We’ll help you pick options that fit your needs and make your home comfortable and sustainable.

How do you keep me updated on progress once building starts?

You’ll get regular updates from us throughout the building process. We share photos, answer your questions, and let you know about each step as it happens. You’ll always know where things stand and what’s coming up next with your home.

What kinds of homes have you built before, and can I see examples of your work?

We’ve built a wide range of custom homes, from modern designs to classic styles and everything in between. You can look at photos and examples of our finished projects to get a feel for our work and find ideas for your own home.

Will you help me figure out a budget and give me an estimate before we get started?

Yes, we’ll talk with you about your budget and what you want for your home right from the start. You’ll get a clear estimate before any work begins, so you know what to expect and can plan with confidence.

How do your payment plans work, and is there a guarantee on the work you do?

We set up a payment schedule that matches the progress on your home, so you only pay as each part is finished. You also get a warranty on our work, giving you peace of mind that your home is built to last.

What happens if there are delays or changes during the building process?

If there are delays or changes during building, we let you know right away and talk through your options. You’ll always be part of the decision-making, so you understand the next steps and how any changes might affect timing or cost.

Do you require a deposit before starting, and is it refundable if I change my mind?

Yes, we do ask for a deposit before starting work. Whether it’s refundable depends on how far along we are with planning and work done. We’ll explain everything clearly so you know what to expect if plans change.

How do you handle changes I want to make after we start building?

If you want to make changes after building has started, we talk with you about what’s possible, any extra costs, and how it might affect the schedule. We keep things flexible and always check with you before moving forward with any changes.
